Quickie Little Love Note

Been pretty quiet around here, but I wanted to just pop in for a minute with a few tips for the astro of the moment...

First of all, I've seen quite a few memes that have messages along the lines of "OH GOD 6 PLANETS ARE RETROGRADE THE SKY IS FALLING!" And would just like to remind you that this is not a super rare occurrence, but it IS a lot of inward focused energy -- or at least energy that, when used with some awareness, can help you to understand more about your inner workings. So... what are you learning about yourself right now? Even if you can't find the Big Lessons, journaling or taking note of what's coming up for you can help you put the pieces together once Mercury stations direct in a few weeks. 

Lots of times people try to shy away from that kind of work, though, or don’t feel like they have the bandwidth for it and that push to "go in" can feel super activating. So: what are your coping and self-soothing skills?

If the number of texts and emails I've gotten about relationship snafus says anything about the general experience of this energy right now, it would seem that Mercury's first week of retrograding through relationship-oriented Libra is also bringing up some big time relationship "stuff" for folks. Try to take a deep breath and at least a few beats before you respond if you find yourself in conflict. Communications might not be flowing smoothly.

What unresolved experiences from your past are trying to re-write themselves onto your present?

Once Merc dips back into Virgo next week, you'll have more support leaning into the inner workings of the relationship and what needs to be adjusted within them moving forward. 

We also have a Sun-Neptune opposition going on. Sun-Neptune can = existential anxiety. Anxiety of the "what does it all mean/am I all alone in this universe/why is everything falling apart" kind, usually lodged within the body. For many of us, although this anxiety is a call to lean into our spiritual supports, we'll channel aaaaall of that angst and anxiety into... our relationships! Where communications can be challenging right now. Cuz somehow being able to identify the source of the anxiety (even if it's not the true source) is better than just feeling anxious of our own accord. 

Not to say you don't have Real Definable Shit going on, too.

Venus and Mars squaring (with the Moon coming into a conjunction with Mars) can add a little extra ouchiness in terms of reactivity. Moon, Mars, Venus and Sun are ALL looking to that retrograde Mercury for marching orders right now, so it's kind of garble nation out there. Potentially.

So again, if you're feelin' it: what are your coping strategies? Hopefully you've been playing along with my strong guidance all year that you double down on reconnecting with your spiritual systems -- whatever that means to you -- but if you haven't, simple focusing on drinking water, closing your eyes and taking some deep breaths, reaching out to a friend are all really solid strategies. Sometimes Virgo mind just needs flat out distraction, and goodness knows we have a lot of mercurial Virgo AND Gemini going on right now.
