This Scorpio eclipse is a south node eclipse, amplifying the energy of purging, releasing and surrendering. This eclipse takes place in an exact conjunction with Venus, who has just come through the fire to be reborn.

The practice of pondering energy near a New Moon is one that's near and dear to my heart. And oh, how my heart has been speaking to me this weekend.

Some suggestions for navigating the astrology of now.

What if I just said, “okay, brain. okay, muse. We’re ON again,” and started writing?

Liberation into Body.
What a loaded statement! At the surface, what I mean is that the energy of the Now, when worked with consciously, is powerfully connected to the notion that revolution happens through the body. Through reclaiming the wisdom each of us contains within us not only at the cellular level in terms of ways Body communicates to us, but in terms of the vast number of ways intuition, instinct and impulse live within us as well.

This Aries New Moon’s got me thinking about war. What follows are some meandering thoughts.

Transformation is a pretty major buzzword these days, but let’s not glamorize. Although it can be helpful to keep the concept of balance in mind through the coming lunar cycle, taking the edge off with the remembrance of and striving for peace and harmony, a bit of distance and seeing-all-sides, we should also remember that Scorpionic transformation is quite literally about shit.

Myths and worldview guide the ways our society - from infrastructures to relationships and personal identity - are formed. Understanding them helps us to undo the more destructive parts, cuz we can get to the root of things.

I don’t care so much about astrology as a way to predict or elect so much as I care about astrology as another tool for paradigm shift.

Relationships are everything. We have to figure out how to relate in healthier ways to ourselves and to each other if we’re going to build institutions that reflect the fact that LIFE is what we value most in our society.
